OUR PHILOSOPHY The philosophy of Beebe First Assembly is the same as Royal Rangers in general..."to reach, teach, and keep boys for Christ." Since Royal Rangers was re-activated in 1990 at Beebe First Assembly, the mission of our outpost has been to reach boys for Christ, providing a variety of activities along with classroom instruction. Further, our philosophy since 1990 has been to not charge any boy for any activity, membership, or materials. This was done so that no boy would be prohibited from participating in Royal Rangers at any level. |
| CLASSES
All Royal Ranger classes are taught by well trained leaders who have been trained to interact with boys ages five to twelve. They have all gone through extensive training and have passed criminal and child maltreatment background checks.
A typical class on a Wednesday night starts and ends in prayer. Boys lead the opening prayer over the offering and pass the offering pans. A discussion usually follows with "Show and Tell" from the boys or a short devotion from the commander. The Ranger Kids then fall in formation with the outpost to report, do pledges, and conduct outpost business.
This is followed by the boys working on individual advancements or completing class related craft work. Advancements are taught using songs and hand sign language. Boys are encouraged to have fun and are rewarded with candy.
Serious time is when boys sit in a circle and the commander shares a spiritual truth. Questions to test the boys' retention usually follow. The boys are rewarded for correctly answering the questions.
Game time and outside activities follow constructive class time. Closing is done in an outpost prayer circle with boys and commanders giving prayer requests and praying in unison. All boys exit the class with class work handouts and activity announcements and go home with candy in hand. |

MISSION MINDED Outpost 130 has consistently paid tithes to missions. Additionally, the outpost has sponsored a Royal Ranger missionary, Doug Marsh. This mission mindedness has led to financial stability and blessings coming back to the outpost. Royal Ranger boys have seen outpost successes as a direct result of missions contributions.
Due to the mission mindedness of Outpost 130 in Beebe, the outpost was able to start out 2008 with donating five hundred dollars to a children's ministry in Albania led by Sue Hartmann and five hundred dollars to Mike Louton in China. The outpost raised almost $2000 at its indoor campathon and four boys were reached for Christ. |
